Write a thank you letter and win 50,000 pesos from DepEd and PHLPost

Dologon NHS Alumni is encouraging all the Students of our beloved Alma Mater Dologon National High School and our school annex to participate in this year's (2016) "Salamat Po (Thank You) Letter Writing Project" of the Department of Education.

This program will not only revive the old-fashioned way of sending letters and messages but also encourage the students to be grateful to their teachers and value the Filipino culture of saying "Salamat Po" Plus, aside from that, every letter sent locally via the Philippine Postal Office will earn 1 raffle ticket for the 50,000.00 grand draw prize and 2 raffle entries for letters sent abroad which will be given directly to the student upon payment of the postage fee.

Aside from the grand draw, there will also be semi-grand draw which will be held in March next year in each postal area where winners will each receive 10,000, the same amount will also be given to the winner's teacher.

Nutrition Month Celebration | Barangay Dologon

Dologon National High School will represent Barangay Dologon for the upcoming celebration of Nutrition Month of the Municipality of Maramag as they bring home the beacon for the recently concluded Barangay Level Nutrition Month competition with the theme "Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan". 

Mr. William Calixto Jr. in his Facebook post shows the competition results for the three major category such as the Quiz Bee, Poster Making, and Folk Dance. The following are the complete list of winners.

Quiz Bee
  • 1st Placer: Dologon National High School (DNHS)
  • 2nd Placer: Central Mindanao University High School (CMU-LHS)
  • 3rd Placer:  Central Mindanao University High School (CMU-LHS)
Poster Making
  • 1st Placer: Dologon National High School (DNHS)
  • 2nd Placer: Central Mindanao University High School (CMU-LHS)
  • 3rd Placer:  Central Mindanao University High School (CMU-LHS)
Folk Dance
  • 1st Placer: Dologon National High School (DNHS)
  • 2nd Placer: Central Mindanao University High School (CMU-LHS)
  • 3rd Placer: Dologon National High School (DNHS)

All the top winners (1st Placer) for the said categories will be representing the Barangay Dologon for the District level Nutrition Month Celebration of Municipality of Maramag. That means, all Dologon NHS will be the sole representative of Barangay Dologon for the District Level.

A new batch of 20 early-stage startups will be vying for at least P1 million worth of seed funding, training and services as Philippine-based IdeaSpace Foundation, Inc. (IdeaSpace), the technology incubator and accelerator of the First Pacific group of companies for emerging markets, presented the entries that made it to the finals in the 2014 National Startup Competition.
After three rounds of rigorous judging, the more than 600 submissions received during IdeaSpace’s call for startup ideas this year have now been reduced to twenty, namely:
  • BlueLemons (Cavite) - A Filipino theme mobile gaming studio
  • BusFinder (Cagayan de Oro) - A GPS-powered real-time tracking system that minimizes commuting time

DNHS 2nd Alumni Homecoming, Postponed!

The DNHS's Alumni Officers Finally decided to postpone the planned 2nd Grand Alumni Homecoming of Dologon NHS. Some posts at Facebook as early as July 2013 said "DNHS next alumni homecoming proposed: bazaar, display by batch (souvenirs), homecoming date (Dec.28,2013 saturday), registration 50pesos (all), competitions: by batch, parlor games: by batch". The T-shirt color coding by batch:

  • 2006-lavender
  • 2007-apple green
  • 2008-yellow
  • 2009-red
  • 2010-gray
  • 2011-pink
  • 2012-blue"
December came but updates were not seen and lots of students are keep on asking for the final schedule. Finally a post from Melody Deocares at DNHS  on December 7, 2013 saying. "Gudevening DOLOGON NHS alumni.. acc0rding t0 our alumni president MR.ARBEN B.PAM0LARCAN0,there will be NO alumni grand reuni0n for ds year..it will be held for d next 5 years,nd dat wud be 2017.. thank u..GOD SPEED" finally revealed that the December 2013 2nd Grand Alumni Homecoming is gonna be at its farthest year.

However, day after the post, Melody Deocares posted another news from the president that says: "The Dologon NHS Alumni Association have finally decided that the 2nd grand alumni homecoming will be on Dec.2014. We can't have it this year because we have no funds to suffice the financial needs, the officers have not yet properly installed-we still on the process of formulating our alumni constitutions and By-laws and to think of ways and means to earn funds for the association to leave another project in our Alma mater. You can still have batch reunions with your batch mates. In our group,think and plan of the best that you can extend to our Alma mater and be ready for our next homecoming. Thank you for ur cooperation.Sorry if we fail ur expectations nd excitement,but u have also need to understand our sides. MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!"

The news finally postponed the Grand Alumni Homecoming on December of 2013, and accordingly, it'll gonna be on the December of the year 2014.

168 Alumni, Reunites


 
The First Grand Alumni Homecoming and 5th Founding Anniversary was held on January 11, 2013 at Dologon National High School. It was participated by the 2006-1012 alumni of Dologon NHS, faculty ans staff and the students.

Fr. Rubio officiated the Holy Mass in the morning. Among the distinguished guests were Hon. Mayor Alicia P. Resus, Hon. Vice Mayor Jose V. Obedencio, Hon. Ferdinand R. Roque, Hon. Brgy. Captain Miguel Ceballos, and other municipal and barangay officials.

After lunch, the alumni joined the motorcade from the school to barangay plaza and back to school. The Sayawit, Cheerdance, Dancesport, and Folk Dance group performed in the program. Each batch also presented its intermission number and it was followed by a raffle draw.
